  • some water balloons,
  • flour to make glue
  • old newspapers
  • scraps of wool
  • scraps of material of about 25cm by 50 cm
  • small rectangular piece of cardboard and
  • paints

Blowup one balloon tying it up for the air not to escape. This is going to be the mold for the puppet’s head. Cut small pieces of newspapers with your fingers. Glue the pieces to the balloon with the flour mixture. Cover up the balloon.

Remember to leave a small clear space on the lower part of the balloon. This is for you to be able to put your finger through and move the head when it is finished.

Glue another layer of paper
on top of the first and so on until you have about 6 layers. Use enough flour glue for the papers to stick well to each other.

When you have finished the layers, put the balloon in a sunny spot to dry. Be careful for it not to get wet if it rains. Depending on the weather it may take from 2 to 4 days to be totally dry.
